Greg proposed on December 22, 2008! Our "big" present to each other this year was a trip to New York City and a fancy dinner. We had a wonderful day taking a horse and carriage ride, going to the Moma, and sightseeing. That night we got all dressed up and went to La Grenouille (or, as I call it, The Frog place!) and had the BEST- albeit most expensive- meal we've ever had!
Halfway through dinner we exchanged our "small" presents- ornaments for our first Christmas tree in our first apartment! He insisted that I give him mine first, which I did. Then he gives me his and I wonder why on earth it's in such a big box... I open it and find the handmade ornament above with my beautiful ring next to it! I screamed, which apparently doesn't happen too often in a 5 star restaurant! I don't even think I heard him actually ask out loud before I said yes!
Best of all, it happened while he had the sweet stache in the picture below.
